This traditional Greek rug is characterized by a thick shaggy pile.  Fluffy wool yearns are woven into a felted-type backing leaving strands of pile about 6" long.  These rugs are put under a natural waterfall and the cold water shrinks the pile to about 4".  Jeff is inspecting and pre-treating a large 10.5'x13.5' Flokati rug prior to washing.
